The problem

“Nigerian newspapers” is one of the most-searched phrases in the country, but the results are either a single newspaper’s site or thin link lists. Readers want to see what every paper is saying about today’s story — and we wanted a web front door for the All Nigerian Newspapers app that respects publishers’ content.

What we built

  • Today’s stories feed — headlines grouped by story, with “reported by N publishers” and publication times, updated through the day
  • Compare coverage pages showing how Punch, Vanguard, Daily Trust, Premium Times, Channels and others headline the same event
  • Publisher directory — 30 newspapers with official links, no full-article copying
  • Sections by coverage (politics, security, business, sports) and a story archive
  • App funnel: Get-the-app CTAs in header, hero and story blocks with UTM tracking
  • Fast, mobile-first, structured data for news and breadcrumbs

How we did it

An automated ingestion layer collects publisher headlines and links, clusters them into stories, and publishes a lightweight, cache-friendly site so pages load fast on Nigerian mobile networks. Editorial rules keep the site on the right side of publishers: headline, summary and a link out — never the article body. The domain and site architecture were chosen to rank for “Nigerian newspapers” searches and to pass installs to the app.

FAQ

About this project

Can you build a news or content aggregation site for my brand?

Yes — for a media house, a niche (sports, business, a state) or a corporate news room. Aggregation, clustering and publisher-safe linking are all built in. Web applications from ₦500,000.

Does the site copy newspaper articles?

No. It shows headlines and short summaries and links readers to the publisher’s own page.

How does it connect to the app?

Every “Get the app” link carries UTM parameters, so installs coming from the website are tracked in Google Play Console.
